Little Bit of My Diet

After sitting down and looking at my media diet I have come to realize one thing, I spend entirely to much time around media in some way that I feel I’ve probably become disconnected from the real world. Over the course of one day when I was awake I wasn’t away from media pretty much the entire day. After a long awesome night of sleeping Saturday night I woke up at 2:30pm on Sunday afternoon. Once I woke up I went to grab my laptop and opened up my facebook account after looking at it for a bit, I then went to check my emails after realizing that I don’t really get important emails or ever write ones I moved on to my usual sites. Rivals.com is the first to see all the new Alabama recruiting information then I went to Espn.com were I was reminded that the Colts and the Jets were playing so after I looked around on espn.com for a while I went to watch the Colts game. After the Colts game I watch my Saints win their conference and now going to their first Super Bowl. Now after all that its been about 10 hours and after watching all the post game stuff I realize I should work on my paper that is due Tuesday for MC 409 so I went through the University’s databases so I could find all the articles and information I needed to help write my paper. After I was finish finding my information I was on a kind of school high so I decided it would be good to watch/listen to some audio stories to maybe help give me an idea but I was distracted by my girlfriend who was watching Lost so I spent the next hours watching Lost until I fell asleep. This is a breakdown of just one day in detail of my diet but many days seem to be the same. I don’t really live a day of my life without being surrounded by media so I decide I’m a media glutton. I need to separate myself from media a little bit and go out and do things the only problem is that hulu and netflix keep me from being productive. The only thing I wouldn’t want to revile about my media viewing in a public space is dirty and that’s all I will say.
